School Holiday 2024: Schools will be closed tomorrow i.e. February 8 in Telangana. The government has issued an order to declare a holiday in schools of the state on 8 February. School shutdown has been announced in the state on the occasion of Shab-e-Maharaj festival. In the school holiday calendar released by the government, the holiday of Shab-e-Maharaj has been declared on February 8.

Significantly, Shab-e-Maharaj is considered auspicious day in Muslim society. On that day these mosques are decorated with lamps. On 8 February (Thursday), due to normal holiday, a holiday has been declared in government offices and schools.

Apart from this, the governments of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have declared a school holiday on 8 March on the occasion of Mahashivaratri. Students will get three consecutive days of leave because Friday is Mahashivratri, while the next two days are Saturdays and Sundays. Earlier, Telangana schools were discharged for six days from 12 January to 17 January 2024 due to Sankranti. At the same time, according to the TOI report in Delhi, there will be holidays in schools on the occasion of Basant Panchami on 14 February. After this, students of Delhi can see a holiday on the day of Guru Ravidas Jayanti on 24 February.
